Ethics is at the heart of everything I do. I focus on healthy boundaries, clarity, and warmth.
These ethical guidelines are inspired by C-H-A-I’s ethical guidelines, which can also be read on their website. In practice, they are essentially the same principles.
For most people, these guidelines will seem obvious. However, the treatment market under the heading of “Tantra” is rather mixed. To create safety and clarity, I therefore always work according to these principles.
- Confidentiality
As a Tantric Bodyworker, I work with a high degree of discretion and ethical responsibility. Many sessions touch on intimate, bodily, and personal themes. Confidentiality is therefore a fundamental framework for the work. At the same time, confidentiality does not mean secrecy at any cost. If a serious concern arises regarding safety, abuse, or children/young people, I have, like any other citizen, a responsibility to act. Alternative practitioners are not covered by the statutory rules that apply to healthcare professionals.
- The practitioner remains clothed during any touch of the receiver. This means that the practitioner is always, as a minimum, wearing shorts and a top.
- All touch is one-way. If the receiver wishes to learn how to give erotic touch, they will be referred to couples’ sessions, where the receiver brings a partner.
- The practitioner always respects the receiver’s boundaries. The practitioner asks for consent before touching and stops touching whenever the receiver asks for this.
- The practitioner never enters into a sexual and/or romantic relationship with a receiver during a treatment process, nor for at least 12 months after the treatment has ended. If romantic feelings arise — from the receiver towards the practitioner or vice versa — the treatment process ends immediately.
- Practitioners, teachers, and students are aware of the power they hold in their role as facilitators, and they do not use this power for sexual or any other form of exploitation of the receiver, meaning decisions are never made based on the practitioner’s own personal intentions or desires.
- People under the age of 18 are not offered intimate treatment. They may only receive treatment in the form of ordinary massage or conversation.
- Touch is never given with the genitals or orally.
- Treatments are never given to people under the influence of alcohol and/or recreational drugs.
