Ethics are paramount in everything I do and I focus on healthy boundaries and cordiality.
I work according to the ethical rules set by CHAI / Tantra practitioner training
These rules will be obvious to most people, but the treatment market under the heading of “Tantra” is somewhat varied, so for peace of mind I always work according to CHAI/TantraZone.dk’s CODE OF ETHICSwhich is reproduced below:
- The therapist has a duty of confidentiality in accordance with section 152 of the Penal Code. Information about the recipient and the course may only be passed on to the CHAI training team and only with the recipient’s written permission.
- The practitioner remains clothed while touching the recipient. This means that the practitioner is always wearing at least shorts and a top.
- All touch is one-way. If the recipient wants to learn how to give erotic touch, we refer to couple sessions where the recipient brings a partner.
- The practitioner always acknowledges the recipient’s boundaries. The practitioner asks permission to touch and stops touching when the recipient requests this.
- The practitioner never enters into a sexual and/or romantic relationship with a recipient during treatment or for at least 12 months after treatment. If romantic feelings (infatuation) arise from the recipient to the practitioner or vice versa, the treatment program will be terminated immediately.
- Practitioners/trainers/students are aware of the power they have in their role as practitioners and do not use it for sexual or other forms of exploitation (i.e. making decisions based on their own intentions) of the recipient.
- People under the age of 18 are not offered intimate treatments. They can only receive treatment in the form of a regular massage or conversation.
- Never touch with genitals or orally.
- Treatments are never given to people under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
C-H-A-I/Tantrazone.dk’s code of ethics can also be read here
C-H-A-I‘s rules talk about a “client” who is a “recipient” in my free practice treatments, which is why I have updated the rules here for this.
